AGENT NOTES – FOR USE WITH MEDICARE DRUG PLANS COURSE CMS

CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) has strict guidelines for marketing and selling of Medicare Part D, prescription drug plans.

You must be AHIP (America’s Health Insurance Plans) certified plus carrier certified for each individual carrier prior to offering Part D plans to your prospects and clients.

CLIENT PART D OPTIONS

There are two main options for Medicare Part D plans:

AVAILABILITY

Most PDP (stand-alone plans) are available on a state-wide basis

Medicare beneficiaries can have Part A or Part B of Medicare (not required to have both) for enrollment into a PDP plan
